Guide for Handling Fire Ants

Today we will discuss about fire ants. Fire ants in color is reddish brown or black. Their body features is almost the same with ordinary ants which normally measures 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch in length. The color of their abdomen will be darker and the head will be lighter.

Fire ants do sting to humans painfully. They actually bite and sting numerous times. Imagine if a swarm of fire ants attack you or anyone, surely it will result to an intense burn and pain.

A good way to eliminate fire ants in your home is to make baits like insecticides that are in granular form which the worker fire ants usually carry it back to the colony to be fed and this includes the queen fire ants. The main target is to eliminate the queen fire ant so basically the insecticide will work slowly by killing the reproductive capabilities of the queen fire ant and eventually the colony dies off.
